As a rule, I usually buy and use a camera with a bit more functionality, such as the Nikon P7000 or D3100. However, the DSC-W610, the current crop of low-end Sony digital camera, it will fit the bill for the cameras, cheap pocket will get the job done, as long as you do not expect too much from it.The camera comes with battery, charger, USB cable and wrist strap. USB cable is not standard mini-USB cable or Micro-USB, so if you do not plan to use the SD card reader, make sure the wires do not miss it! Speaking of SD cards, this camera does not come with one, so make sure you pick one up. (The camera works with SD, SD-HC,-XC and SD cards and Memory Stick Pro Duo card, so pretty much anything you throw at it will do.) Although the camera looks like it has an aluminum front, this influence is applied to the textured stickers, and even the whole camera is a bit thin plastic. It does not feel very fragile, but it also does not give much hope that they will survive a moderate decrease. The picture quality is better than most if not all camera phones, as you would expect from a standalone point and shoot. The sensor is sensitive enough, what if the shot noise in low light shots scenerios. The flash does its work, which covers all areas of the image (except for the corner only when the lens is at its widest). However, do not expect pro-quality photos here, detail resolution when zoomed in all the way to the poor, looking muddy and indistinct. The most unique options on this camera, and the reason we finally chose this camera, Sony is a sweeping panorama mode. Click the shutter release, then slowly move the camera right. This camera will make sure you hold the camera straight enough (using the internal accelerometer, I believe) and automatically stitch the photos together. This produces a surprisingly good panorama with very little work. The biggest difference between the camera and slightly more expensive sibling, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W620, is a movie mode. The 610 shoots at 640x480 underestimated, while the 620 (and higher models) shoot 720p HD. Keep this in mind when choosing to save a few bucks. All in all, this camera is great for people who just want a cheap camera to keep in their pockets and not fussy about too much regulation. If you demand excellent image quality, high resolution video, or toughness in your camera, then you might want to pass on this one.I bought this camera after graduating high school. I have a Sony camera before this, and use it until it does not work anymore. I was very happy when I take with me to China, and takes amazing photos. Unfortunately, I lost soon after arrival, and must use the camera most of the time my friends there. Compared with five different cameras, this one is easily the best. Many other people taking pictures so blurry, do not have a panorama mode, and they all go through them fast enough batteries. This camera takes blurry photos are relatively few, and for the first few days in a foreign country, taking hundreds of photographs, I do not need to be filled for three or four days. I also like the color, blue is beautiful and it helps to tell it apart from my old camera, or a glimpse of my mother's camera. It is also quite small and lightweight, smaller than the camera I had before.Having lost my camera broken heart. The day after I returned from China, I ordered a new one. I can not wait to get it and keep taking pictures.Obviously, this is not a professional camera, but for a girl who loves taking photos, it's absolutely perfect.I'm a little worried about buying a camera that is very new on the market, I mean this is a 2012 model, and review just a few for the same reason the camera is very new to the market, but now that I have here at home I just received this today and took some pictures a very beautiful very very surprised with the quality of the photos, the Sony Cyber shot before I had a Panasonic lumix, camera is very good but I gave it to my nephew after three years of use, I must say that these pictures virtual superior quality color Sony , but the panasonic is only 12-member parliament, and Sony is a 14-member parliament that no doubt is the reason to produce images more beautiful, and very very easy to use, to set the date and time super easy, I know it's a bit early to say how well this camera because it had just received the camera but it left me impressed so farbe great thank you sony
